We had a great ride, several miles up the trail, then without notice my 4-wheeler's battery died..........Hmm. I swear I mentioned that it was low before we left. The Hoodlums and I played while Dave dinked around with the machine. It was beautiful weather but we were stranded in a particularly bad patch of biting flies.
This is a picture of the Hoodlums being eaten alive by the flies. What fun.
The thing about Dave is, that we could be stranded without food, or water, or in some horrible predicament, and I never even give it a second thought. I know, without a doubt, that he is already working on a plan, and he just knows what to do. His plan today, was to coast out, which made me a bit nervous because it was pretty steep. I did have to laugh a couple of times when we would reach a plateau and Dave would have to get off and push.
Dawson was pretty nervous that they were going to fall off the cliffs, so he pretty much prayed the whole way down. He was really pleased when we finally made it, and immediately gave another prayer of thanks. He is a prayin' fool, and I love it that he thinks of that first.
Towards the end of the hike, Emma ate it hard on the trail, and only wanted a piggy back out on her Mutha.
But Dave won her over eventually.
Her wounds.
It ended up being a fantastic day, with lots of great memories for everyone.
I absolutely how you two always look 100% in love. You can tell you are both so HAPPPY...love it.
