Dave is such a great Dad. Tonight he put a note, torn down the middle, into each Boys' pillowcase. They went to bed as usual, but then he called up to them and told them to figure out their messages. We were sitting on the couch when they came happily traipsing down the stairs with their pillows and blankets. They were both grinning from ear to ear and said, "You are the best Mom and Dad ever!"
They snuggled up by us and to watch a movie, then headed outside to lay on the tramp and watch the Meteor Shower. It was so fun to lay there looking at the stars with the Boys, and listen to them talk. I only lasted an hour then went in to bed. Dave snuggled down with them and I could hear them giggling for awhile, then not again until about 5am when they all wandered in half-frozen.
I love nights like that when we don't have to do anything but find shapes in the stars and try and freak ourselves out by thinking we are falling into space. It was a great night.
