Adult Lake Powell

For our last Lake Powell trip of the year, we decided to go sans the Hoodlums. Really what kind of Mother would I be if I thought that their education wasn't as important as the Lake.......So we made a hard decision and took our friends instead. We sure missed the kids:)
Perfect spot on the Lake. Something about going after everyone should be in school makes the Lake far less crowded.

It was amazing to me, to see Daveskins in action. Usually he is a dedicated driver and I am the dedicated flagger. Whee.

Such a hottie.
The water was some of the best we have ever had. We wakeboarded the whole day long, without so much as a ripple, the first day. No one even held the flag, because we were the only boat in the bay.

We had some great friends with us. This is Mindi and Cam Maxfield.

David and David met a very long time ago on their mission. They are pretty funny together.

We threw a tire off the boat trailer by Green River, when we were coming home. The Menfolk all put their heads together, and paid $20 to rummage through some guys buckets of bolts. It is pretty hard to find a trailer shop open in Green River on a Sunday night, but it turns out we didn't need one. With a few mismatched bolts, a half a water bottle, and some electrical tape, we were on our way!

Lucky for us, they left the toughest guy on the side of the road to protect the women, and we played a rousing game of Mexican Train in the dirt to pass the time. It was an incredible trip. One I  will never forget, and hope to repeat again.
