We spent the whole day packing today, and it really sucked. Dave and I are not compatible packing partners. He attaches sentimental value to most everything, and I am not attached to anything other than the kids. I knew we had made some progress when he threw his high school homework away. We have 6 more days left in this house, and although I am excited to be getting a new house, I have a lot of good memories here. Dave and I built our house together, and worked every day for four months on it. Our lives have changed so much since we finished the house. It has only been 5 years, but in that time we had 3 kids, changed jobs, cars, goals, we have grown and matured(a little bit), it has been quite the experience.
Tonight, we took the kids' up to the diversion, and went hiking. We threw rocks in the river, which looked really mad, according to Dyl, because of the rapids, and had a great time trying to out throw each other. We went over to the paintball course Dave used to play on, and let the boys shoot some cans. The highlight of the evening though, was when we took our old dog house up to my brother-in-law's house and he smashed it with a back hoe. It was a good time.
